0 The University has conducted 2 nd counseling of B.Sc (Nursing), B.Sc (MLT), BPT, ISM (BHMS, BUMS & BNYS) and 1 st counseling for MD (Ayurveda), MD( Homoeopathy) & MD (Unani) in the month of October, 2012 and 3 rd counseling for B.Sc (Nursing) in the month of November, 2012.

Training in Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences in collaboration with AP Medical Graduates of USA has decided to establish International Training Center at Guntur Medical College Alumni of North America auditorium in Guntur Medical College, Guntur for providing advance training in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support to Medical Graduates, Interns, Post Graduates, Dental Graduates, Nursing students and Para Medical students in the month of January, 2013.


For the year 2012, NTRMEDNET Consortium of the University has subscribed to 438 E-journals & 93 E-books from the publishers - Elsevier, Wolters Kluwer, EBSCO, Sage and from Societies to give access to 276 member colleges of the Consortium. The Academic Committee of NTRMEDNET Consortium & Digital Library meets periodically to review the Academic content subscribed to give access to the members of the Consortium and reviews the usage statistics of the journals.

Seminar "User/Librarian partnership in creating successful consortia"

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, in association with Elsevier Health Sciences has conducted a seminar "User/Librarian partnership in creating successful consortia" on 31 st October, 2012 at Hotel Murali Fortune, Vijayawada. Director of Medical Education, Govt. of AP was guest of the honour, Dr.I.V.Rao, Vice-Chancellor was the Chief Guest, Dr. K.A.Seetharam, Prof. of Dermatology and Head Academic Committee gave the key note address, Dr.M.V.Ramanamma, Rector, Dr.A.Siva Prasad, Registrar (FAC), Dr. C.Padmavathi Devi, Consortium Coordinator and Mr. Rohit Kumar, Managing Director, South Asia, Elsevier Health Sciences also addressed the gathering. The librarians, teaching faculty of Medical, Dental, Nursing & Physiotherapy of affiliated colleges of the University had participated in the seminar.
